What kit do you need for lashing?
Ever wondered what you need exactly for carrying out eyelash extension treatments? Here, we will go through exactly what you need to make sure you have all of the correct equipment to carry out your fantastic lash treatment 🙂
In your lash artist kit you will need to make sure you have the following items.
Antibacterial gel (Always make sure your hands are clean with antibacterial gel before any contact with your client)
Primer or OIL FREE makeup remover (Primer should be used on every client before we start doing the treatment. It is to remove extra oil from the client’s natural eyelashes and prepare the natural lash for the eyelash extensions)
Micro-pore tape (This can be used for clients if you are having difficulty to catch lower lashes under the collagen pads due to their length or if you are having problems to stick the collagen pads due to client’s oily skin. Use the back of your client’s hand to remove extra stickiness from tape)
Gel pads (Gel or collagen pads are for separating the lower and upper lashes so we do not stick them together. Also it helps to see their natural eyelashes better/clearer)
Mascara brushes (Brush eyelashes before you start on a client to help separate them from each other/stickiness from primer)
Tweezers – curved and straight. (Always use two tweezers. Curved ones to separate the eyelashes from each other and the straight ones are for helping you to pick the individual eyelash extension from the trays and apply them onto your client’s natural eyelash)

Ring or jade stone for adhesive (Ring or jade stone is used to hold adhesive for eyelash extensions)
Adhesive (Only use one specialised for eyelash extensions. It is useful to change it every 2-3 months). The best temperature for the eyelash adhesive is 18-24ºC and humidity of the room is 40% – 60%. Some adhesives can be working in a lower or higher humidity. Check with manufacturers.
Individual eyelashes (We would recommend to use strip with individual eyelashes instead of loose eyelashes. This maybe slightly be more expensive but it will speed up the time of the treatment and help you gain confidence) We would recommend to buy C curl in 0.15mm with mixed length as your first tray to practice with.

Magnifying glasses and/or floor magnifying lamp if necessary (It will help you to see the individual eyelash closer and use extra light in darker rooms where there is no natural daylight)
Air blowers (This is to use after you finish the eyelash extensions. It is a quicker way of getting rid of fumes from adhesive so when your client opens their eyes there will not be a stinging feeling)
Mini fan is quicker than air blower and is also amazing product you can sell to your clients for their aftercare.
We hope that this helps you with everything that you need for your lash kit, you can also purchase lash starter kits which will contain items such as adhesive, tweezers and lashes!
